Moms, Monsters, Media & Margaritas- Medicine for the soul of today’s mommy.
I have been following the blog of talented author, Angela Williams Glenn, for sometime now. I have always been attracted to her heartfelt words and stories. Few bloggers, let you that close to their thoughts and worlds.
Angela writes in a way that befriends and hugs you.
Recently, I received a copy of her self-published book, Moms, Monsters, Media & Margaritas, for review. A book focused on the true grit of motherhood in our society. The doubts we face, the challenges embraced and how we evolve.
“Sure, we’d like to wear sexy underwear and cute little clothes to bed but bringing sexy back after kids is buried somewhere in our underwear drawer where we traded our sexy girl pantie for thoe so much more comfortable granny panties. – excerpt from Moms, Monsters, Media & Margaritas”.
The essays discuss the current state of motherhood and expectations, such as; “mommy wars”, mom guilt, family balance.
I will say this book left me feeling understood as a mother in today’s world.
It would be a lovely gift to give a mom of any generation- especially, a woman new to the adventure of parenthood.
